From toplessrobot, The French site Lord of the Brick managed to find incredibly fuzzy, grainy, CONFIDENTIAL-stamped scans of the packages for Lego's upcoming Lord of the Rings sets, and... damn. I don't think there's anything mind-blowingly surprising in here -- they look pretty much exactly as I expected them to look -- but still, just seeing them is pretty nerdgasm inducing. That's the Mines of Moria set up above (which comes with Pippin, Gimli, Legolas, Boromir, 2 x Goblins, 2 x Skeletons & Cave Troll), and the Helm's Deep set below (Aragon, Gimli, Legolas, Theoden, 5 x Uruk-hai).

Recreate your favorite Apple events with this Steve Jobs action figure

From digitaltrends, A startlingly realistic Steve Jobs action figure has been unveiled by In Icons. Available from February, it comes complete with accessories including jeans, a turtleneck top and even a "one more thing..." backdrop.

Leaving aside the questionable timing of such a product, and the lack of the word “official” anywhere on the site; the appearance of In Icons’ Steve Jobs action figure is sure to garner plenty of interest, not least because it’s startlingly realistic.

The figure will stand 12-inches tall and it comes with a wide variety of accessories, including his trademark blue jeans and black turtleneck top, a pair of socks, a tiny pair of New Balance shoes and two pairs of glasses.

With the figure all dressed up, he needs somewhere to go, so a stool and a backdrop with “One More Thing…” written on it provides the perfect chance to recreate your favorite Apple events from years gone by.

That’s not all either, as the set will also include two apples, one with a bite out of it (they do understand he never sold actual apples, right?), and not one or even two, but three pairs of hands. Sadly though, the pictured miniature Mac, iPhone and iPad won’t come with the figure.

It’s yours for $99 and will be available from February, provided that in the meantime, the operation isn’t shut down by Steve Jobs’ estate, who’ve previously taken a dim view of similar action figures.

I like the look of this probe-droid-ish figure (not enough to purchase, $25 give me a break!). I hate spiders in real life but I'm a sucker for robot spiders. what do you think?

From toplessrobot, Like Coke and Pepsi, McDonald's and Burger King are locked in a seemingly-eternal battle over their slice of the food galaxy. Of course, that extends past their bland, factory-made burgers to their toy offerings, too. McDonald's struck first with its Happy Meal and its accompanying goodies (you can check out our favorites here), but Burger King was quick to respond with its own brightly colored cardboard box full of greasy kids' grub and equally greasy, cheap plastic toys once they realized kids will happily psychologically torture their parents for them.

Of course, even though they were cheap, that doesn't mean that some of their Kids Meal toys still weren't pretty darned cool. Indeed, the King gave his subjects a lot of great figures and figurines over the years, especially when it came to the DC animated universe.

It's pretty cute and definitely worth a watch. Now I can't actually remember being five years old anymore, but in my mind this is exactly how I pretend-played with my toys. In reality though it was probably much, MUCH sadder. Just sayin', an imagination only goes so far when your coolest toy is a stick with a face painted on it. Isn't that right, Branchy? BRANCHY? Rather amazing Hot Wheels museum exhibit

As you know, gentle readers (reader), I've never been such a fan of the popular 1/64 scale car toy. I had some Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars when I was little, but very few have survived my life's various toy purges. This is largely because my tastes moved away from terrestrial cars to more science-fictiony and fantasy stuff. I will occasionally buy something I find interesting, but even when toymakers furnish 1/64 scale examples of sci-fi, the scale itself doesn't appeal to me and I often get it just so I can make a bigger one out of Lego down the road (whether I get around to doing that is another story).

Zack, on the other hand, LOVES the little cars, and often has one in his hand. I've been meaning to chronicle the growth of his collection (mostly Hot Wheels), but suffice to say, since I've been frequenting that part of the toy store I'm constantly bowled over by the sheer volume of product. Sure they're only a buck, but there seems to be a new batch of stuff every month. I pity the folks who are completists with these; surely their lives are hectic, exhausted affairs.

Since I've only been paying attention a short time, I've also been surprised to notice how many car designs I've already seen cycled through twice with different paint jobs. I'd certainly noticed Hot Wheels repaints in the past (and after all, everybody's doing it), but for the first time I realized how quickly castings were revisited.

Which brings me to the very cool Hot Wheels exhibit I saw last Saturday at the Petersen Car Museum in Hollywood (credit to Julie for the idea, and of course Zack loved it). Like its subject, the exhibition space is not very large, but you do get to it through this wicked cool giant tire.

When you walk through, the strip lights light up and engine noises come out of the speakers. The inner loop is decorated with a ton of Hot Wheels that -- I swear I didn't notice this until I was uploading this picture an hour ago -- seem to be mounted on genuine orange Hot Wheels track (and suddenly I wish I had some now).

Of course the main feature is the dreamy display cases of cars, which I was having a great time gawking at when I read the sign below and my brain really blew a fuse...

Pretty amazing, right? Now look at how big the wall is:

Even with all the repaints, it seemed impossible to me that they could all fit on that one wall. But I guess the math actually works out: if you count rows, you'll get a number around 1,250, which divided by forty years of business comes out to a new car model every 12 days. Multiply that by the number of different color schemes and... whew! I'm glad I don't collect these.

Still, the exhibit was great to see, and I'll probably have to go back.

Just kidding, there aren't actually any cannons except in my imagination. Also, buttass-naked mermaids. Which -- did you know mermaids actually have barnacles for nipples? FACT. Some people think they have starfish but those people are idiots AND HAVE OBVIOUSLY NEVER GONE DEEP-SEA FISHING WITH DYNAMITE.

Julia says she took a week to plan the ship, using Bricksmith software, all the while being careful to make sure she could "build it back to front using only bricks that were able to fit through the neck of the bottle." Building it took three days.
That reminds me -- did I ever tell you about the time I found a message in a bottle on the beach? Just kidding, it wasn't a message it was a genie. He told me he'd been sealed away for over a thousand years and would grant me three wishes if I just gave him an HJ. "Well?" WELL HE F***ING LIED.

Yes, it's RobertCop. It looks like a silly photoshop, but pictures abound of the same box in various settings (it's something of an internet sensation -- fans of RobertCop have even given him his own Facebook page).

The beauty of this is that when tweaking the name for their bootleg knockoff toy, they could have went with "Robo" anything and it would have made perfect sense as a toy. RoboDetective, RoboWarrior, RoboMonster -- this is the world's easiest thing to rename. But instead, they replaced the Robo part. With Robert.

Robert is a good officer, but he almost never murders an entire warehouse full of drug dealers.

That's awesome because it doesn't in any way explain why he is made of metal. It almost implies that cops are all robots in America, and that RobertCop is what happens when a robot gets killed in the line of duty and they resurrect it by fusing it with a guy named Robert. He's part cop. Part Robert. He's RobertCop.

I must confess that I don’t spend money on magazines these days. There was a time when I would drop $12+/month for Action Figure News and Toy Review and Tomart’s Action Figure Digest. I purchased these glossy magazines for years and stored them in boxes. It occurred to me at one point that I never went back to look at them again. Believe it or not I finally threw them all away (I kept a choice few). With the advent of the internet and bookstores like Barnes and Noble, I can now look at all this stuff for free. I never purchased too many issues of Wizard Magazine or Toyfare, but with the recent announcement that they have ceased production I find myself feeling nostalgic about it. I haven’t looked at these magazines in a long time but I was always comforted knowing that they existed. I imagine most physical magazines are going to fold over time. Goodbye old friends, you will be missed.

10 Most Ridiculous Toy Biz Wolverine Action Figures

From toplessrobot, If you were a comic fan and a toy fan in the '90s, there was pretty much only one company to turn to: Toy Biz. The company not only made the first Batman movie figures, but they'll always be bets remembered for having the Marvel license during the years of the mega-popular Spider-Man and X-Men cartoons (as well as the many Marvel cartoons that weren't that popular).

In the years and years that they had the Marvel toy license, Toy Biz made a significant portion of the Marvel universe -- but they kept coming back to popular characters like Wolverine, since they actually made money (shockingly, the Sugar Man figure was not a hit). Since Wolverine was the hottest character for most of that period of time, Wolverine figures account for probably 20 percent of the toys the Biz made, which means he, had both good figures made of him... and bad figures. Putting aside the slightly goofy-looking ones, and the ones that represent legitimate(-ly bad) comic book appearances, these are the 10 that made us scratch our heads the most.

Colorforms!

When we were kids my siblings and I would spend hours playing in our grandparent’s attic. They had a very large attic and it was chock full of toys and stuff that once belonged to my father and his siblings. I wish I had the foresight to grab up some of that stuff that has now been lost to time. At one point my grandmother hired some guy to come in and “clean” out her attic. I’m sure he was just tickled to find all this stuff that my grandmother regarded as “junk”.

One thing we played with was Colorform sets. I remember that there were a few different ones although I’m at a loss to recall any of them (Peanuts?). Colorforms were a fun diversion on a rainy day. Of course it’s possible that I’m remembering them nostalgically rather than accurately when it comes to their play value. I recently picked up the Welcome Back, Kotter Colorform set from The Toy Vault. I purchased it partially because of my memories in my grandparent’s attic and partially because I find any product related to Welcome Back, Kotter to be hilarious for some reason. I mean, what kid wants to play with the Sweathogs?

It turns out that Colorforms aren’t much fun. In fact, they lose their “stickiness” over time. Fortunately there is a way to revive them, check it out. I also have the Pee-Wee set pictured at the top of this post. It runs out that many, many properties were turned into Colorform sets. I’m trying to track down the KISS and Space 1999 sets.

My latest toy obsession

I’ve been hitting 3 of the Toy Vaults rather frequently of late. The newest store is the best (and largest) one yet and it has inspired me to focus my collecting efforts on the Kenner Indiana Jones collection.

I largely ignored the Indiana Jones figures/play sets when they were originally released, most likely because I was still collecting Star Wars figures and in comparison the Indiana Jones figures were less exciting. Over the years I have thought about the Indiana Jones figures from time to time but I’ve never made any serious effort to collect any of them. The closest I came to starting a collection was to pick up an Indy for $25 a year ago. For whatever reason, perhaps my disgust at the current state of toys or maybe just boredom, I’ve become obsessed with picking up everything from the Kenner collection.

On an impulse last week I dropped a ton of dough and grabbed the following items;

Indiana Jones (from the Map Room playset, which I do not own)

I am very charmed by this collection and I want to acquire every piece. I just love the old Kenner stuff and this collection dovetails nicely with the Kenner Star Wars stuff. The problem is that the items generally range anywhere from $30-$100 each so I’ll have to take it slow and look for bargains. I’ll keep you updated on my progress!

Lately when I see pictures of new Star Wars figures I feel old. How are these "Star Wars"? I know they come from the universe of prequels and cartoons but my brain refuses to accept this idea. I don't recognize anything outside of the original trilogy as cannon and when I see figures like these it just feels weird to me. I'm pleased that Hasbro sort of "gets" that "new" Star Wars is off-putting to the older audience, which is why we're getting the new "vintage" line with old card-backs like this;

I admit that I feel a certain comfort level when I see racks of these vintage card-backs adjacent to the new "foreign" Star Wars figures. I picked up a couple for the great sculpting and because I'm a sucker for the old packaging. Sigh. I guess I have to accept that the Star Wars universe will forever include all the post-trilogy stuff. I don't have to like it though.

Kackel Dackel, The 'Pick Up Dog Sh*t' Game

I was right! When I read the post below, I wondered if those toys had anything to do with these guys here (mostly because of the distintive tentacly Nautilus guy).

You know when you have a (toy) memory in the recesses of your mind, and you wonder if you'll ever figure out what it's about, and then the second you start investigating the answer shows up? That just happened. (Actually, I've looked these guys up before, and had to search JJP to make sure we didn't already post about them).

The Outer Space Men (or Space Warriors, if you will) were a series of bendy toys released in 1968. I have never, ever seen one. But I did once play with the Colorforms set depicted above, and wondered at the time how I was supposed to be satisfied with vinyl cut-outs of bad drawings of the cool toys pictured on the box.

Googling "action figures colorforms box space" actually got me right to the appropriate Wikipedia page, which in turn led me to the extremely satisfying Outer Space Men annotated archive, which is run by the guy who photographed these weird dudes for their packaging.

So color me intrigued for this new stuff.

This beast is bigger than my old model, at 28 inches tall (71 centimeters) and 22 inches wide (57 centimeters) when the foldable wings are fully deployed. The cockpit allows you to sit figures inside, and it includes five minifigs:Darth Vader, Shuttle Pilot, Imperial Officer, Stormtrooper and Luke Skywalker from Return of the Jedi.

The Imperial Shuttle also has rotating double laser wing cannons, landing gear, and a display stand.

From onlinedesign, The first test shots for the OSM materialized from parts unknown (or China) this week! The fit and feel on these spacey little beings are really great! Our boys in the Far East spent solid time capturing that inimitable Four Horsemen look and the initial results look awesome. We've been playing around with them for the past few days and putting each figure through the regular torture test. The most fun though, has been swapping the parts. Blending all the little bits up and putting a whole new spin on what we're used to. As crazy as it seems, the look of the two lines matches right up! Pheyden can finally try out for cosmic basketball without making deals with a Buildman for the season. And Exellis can stroll around with an all new look. And those OSM heads...they are so fun to stick on the scrunchy Glyos bodies! Total Battle Beast city with Astro Nautilus!

From toplessrobot, It's been a long time since we saw just part of wave 2 of Lego's blind boxed figures -- back in February at Toy Fair, specifically -- but Lego has finally released the full line-up. Obviously, Lego Dracula, Lego Spartan and Lego Maracas-Player are still the stars, but we can't dismiss Lego 19th Century Explorer, Lego Mime or Lego Ringleader, if only because he has a look of sheer panic and terror on his little yellow face. Still no word when these things will come out, but you can see a better look of the figures (in their actual toy forms, as opposed to the inaccurate yet fun promo art I posted above over at The Brothers Brick.

CHICAGO — Retire Ronald McDonald? No way.
That's the message McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner gave Thursday to critics of the red-haired clown, who say the character promotes unhealthy eating to kids and should go the way of Joe Camel.

"The answer is no," Skinner told a room full of shareholders gathered for a meeting at the company's headquarters in the Chicago suburb of Oak Brook, Ill.

"He is a force for good," Skinner said, adding that the nearly 50-year-old clown is an ambassador for the McDonald's brand and its Ronald McDonald House Charities. "He communicates effectively with children and families around balanced, active lifestyles. He does not hawk food."

Shareholders applauded Skinner. And they unleashed a chorus of boos when representatives of the advocacy group Corporate Accountability International requested the famous icon be shelved — for good.

"Ronald McDonald is a pied piper drawing youngsters all over the world to food that is high in fat, sodium and calories," said Alfred David Klinger, a retired Chicago physician who volunteers with the organization. "On the surface, Ronald is there to give children enjoyment in all sorts of way with toys, games and food. But Ronald McDonald is dangerous, sending insidious messages to young people."

The Boston organization, which calls itself a nonprofit corporate watchdog, has spent the past two months mounting a "Retire Ronald" campaign.

So far it has received support from about 10,000 people, said senior organizer Deborah Lapidus.

From geekology, This is a tabletop Pac-Man game made entirely out of LEGO blocks. Except for the electronics, those were made from sugar and spice and everything nice. Or are they snips and snails and puppy dog tails?? Neither moron, they're metal and plastic.

Aside from the obvious electronics, everything is LEGO. It uses a Jamma 48-1 board to play a variety of 80's arcade game including Pac-Man, Donky Kong, Space Invaders and many more.

No LEGO pieces were cut or altered to make this.

I'm not even gonna lie, I'm impressed. And I'm not just saying that because I plan on smashing the back out and stealing all the quarters, but I'm not standing here with a hammer just because it looks good. It really does though. Go on, take a picture. That'll be $5. I HAVE A HAMMER.

Burger King JLU toys, who knew?

There wasn't too much going on at that toy show I attended on Sunday. I stumbled across these JLU toys from Burger King that I never saw before. They seem to be from 2003. I passed on the Hawkgirl and spaceship toy because I didn't want to spend the $ and they were pretty lame. Actually, they're all pretty lame. I just got caught up in the moment a la, "Wow, more superhero toys from Burger King!"

This was one of those things where you have to push the button really fast to get the object (cloud?) to open up to reveal an object (Martian Manhunter). After many attempts to photograph it this was the best that I could do.

From x-entertainment, Only it's not the Sears Wishbook, it's the 1986 JCPenney Christmas catalog. And I'm writing about it in April. We're off to a roaring start.

Such forty-pound holiday catalogs are still around today, but they can't possibly mean as much. In 1986, they were treated with more reverence than bibles. This wasn't merely "one way" to help a kid decide what he or she wanted for Christmas. It was the way. We couldn't go online to make Amazon wishlists, and though some had the notion, few of us ever went browsing toy stores on an early December weekend, pen and pad in hand, writing down things that might've been interesting to play with on the morning of the 25th. Practically every gift I ever asked for was found in the pages of a Sears Wishbook. (Or a JCPenney Christmas Catalog. Errgh.)

Endless glory. Page after page after page of toys we recognized, toys we'd never seen before, toys we absolutely had to have. All of the products were beautifully photographed and often showed real kids playing with them, as if to taunt us in some sneaky, "this could be you" sort of way.

1986 was a good year for kiddy stuff, as you will see. Below are twelve of that year's best, representing stuff I had, stuff I wanted, and in one rare case, stuff that teaches us how human hearts pump blood. If being six-years-old again seems like an attractive proposition, what's seen below will cause disgusting salivation that will make everyone hate looking at you.

[Excerpt], M.U.S.C.L.E. was an acronym for "Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere." Shitty acronym. Sold in 4, 10 and 28 packs, we gobbled them up, carried them all over the place, and at least in my circles, used them as currency. The figures depicted everything from maniacal warriors to dudes with teacups as heads, and the goal was less about collecting your favorites and more about collecting as many M.U.S.C.L.E. men as humanly possible.

Obsolete Set Is Obsolete: LEGO Space Shuttle

From geekology, Just in time for the shuttle's retirement comes the official LEGO Space Shuttle set. *sniff* It's enough to bring a tear to my eye. Psyche, I only cry when pets die and at the end of movies. I'm looking at you, 'Iron Man 2'.

The $100 1,204-piece set stands 17.5 inches tall, with a 10-inch wingspan. It includes launch pad, detachable fuel tank, booster rockets, robot arm, retractable landing gear, opening cockpit with two minifig astronauts (male and female), opening cargo compartment, satellite, and even a ground vehicle.

You know what the problem with today's youth is? Everything. And mostly because kids don't want to be astronauts anymore. When I was growing up every single child wanted to be an astronaut. If you ask a group of kids today what they want to be when they grow up you get a unanimous, "on Jersey Shore". And that's exactly why we should blow up the planet while there's still time.

Toys banned in some California fast food restaurants

(CNN) -- A California county on Tuesday became the first in the nation to ban toys from fast food kids' meals high in calories, fat, salt and sugar.

Santa Clara County supervisors voted 3-2 to ban the plastic goodies as promotions in meals with more than 485 calories.
County supervisor Ken Yeager said Tuesday that the ordinance "prevents restaurants from preying on children's love of toys to peddle high-calorie, high-fat, high-sodium kids' meals," and would help fight childhood obesity.
"This ordinance breaks the link between unhealthy food and prizes," Yeager said. "Under this ordinance, restaurants are still permitted to give out toys. This ordinance merely imposes very specific, common-sense nutrition standards for children's meals that are linked to these incentives."

The ordinance will ban restaurants from giving away toys with meals that have more than 485 calories, more than 600 milligrams of sodium, more than 35 percent of total calories from fat or more than 10 percent of calories from added sugar. It would also limit toy giveaways on single food items with more than 200 calories or more than 480 milligrams of sodium.
But the decision, which affects about a dozen fast food restaurants in unincorporated areas of Silicon Valley, has angered the California Restaurant Association, which fought the proposal with ads in local newspapers. One asks "Who Made Politicians the Toy Police?" and shows a child in handcuffs in front of a cop.
KGO: County bans kids' meal toys

The group commissioned a poll of local residents that found 80 percent didn't think the toy issue was an important one.
"From our perspective, we were echoing what our customers had to say. Obviously we felt that this proposal was excessive and I think purposely provocative," said Daniel Conway, the association's director of public affairs.
Conway said the association was disappointed local officials didn't come to them before creating the ordinance.
"We try to proactively engage with policy makers at the local level, the state level and the federal level," Conway said. "At the national level, our industry just played a critical role in passing a national menu labeling standard, so that now customers in many restaurants will be able to have in front of them the exact nutritional content of the various menu items."
Yeager said at a press conference Tuesday that he hopes the ordinance will spark other counties and states to pass similar legislation.

Restaurants will have a 90-day grace period beginning May 11 before the ordinance goes into effect.

From brianstoys, From packaging to catalogs, the vintage Kenner Star Wars line is known for its bright images and graphics. For the most part photo art, or photographic prints that have been hand-altered in some way, were the master pieces of art used to create the images seen in boxes and catalogs around the world. However, photo art required the use of original photography, for Kenner almost never used illustrations or drawings for their images.

The task of taking the photos that would ultimately be used to produce photo art or that would perhaps remain unaltered was given to an outside design firm. While Kenner would ultimately provide guidance and have the final say on approval, it was up to the photographer at the studio to provide the photos, under the guidance of the design firm.

The photographer in charge of virtually all vintage Star Wars photography work at the outside design firm used by Kenner was Kim Simmons. He was ultimately responsible for images that would be used for packaging, comps (or mock-ups), some publicity images, and some of the slide presentations. Mattel Creates New Toy to Turn into Movie

From worstpreviews, Toy-maker Mattel recently challenged its designers to come up with a new toy line that could simultaneously be turned into a TV show, feature film and game. And just recently, the company picked the winner of the challenge.

The yet-unnamed toy line will be an alien civilization that's been living in the depths of Earth's oceans. "It's actually a great idea, with the caveat that they need to coordinate the story and have it all make sense well beforehand," said Jeff Gomez CEO of Starlight Runner Entertainment. "Yes, there's brand equity in the name Hot Wheels. But it's the characters [in Battle Force 5] that young boys are identifying with, and that are driving TV ratings and the sales of the Hot Wheels DVDs. And that's likely what’s influencing Mattel's decision-making on further transmedia implementations."

At this point, Mattel has already partnered with producer Neal Moritz (Fast and Furious, I Am Legend), who will soon start looking for screenwriters.

A galaxy of new toys rings in 30 years of 'Star Wars'

The Empire Strikes Back is turning 30, and its birthday party will be held this summer in Orlando.

Celebration V, a convention of Star Wars fans that Lucasfilm hosts every few years, will have a special focus on the 1980 film during its weekend run Aug. 12-15.

Carrie Fisher is the first celebrity guest confirmed. "Princess Leia is going to be there, and she's always a huge, huge hit," says Steve Sansweet, Lucasfilm's head of fan relations.

And no birthday party would be complete without toys, a staple of Star Wars fandom. Hasbro is releasing a series of new toys Aug. 1, including a new version of the AT-ATs — those giant, snowbound metal dinosaurs from the opening Empire battle sequence on the frozen planet Hoth.

The toy retails for about $100 and is 2 feet tall and almost 21/2 feet long. "It's absolutely suitable for play with a kid," says Howard Roffman, Lucasfilm's head of licensing. "But if you're a collector, it's also a trophy piece."

A decoration for a desk? "A big desk," Roffman says.

Hasbro also is putting out full-scale Boba Fett helmets with electronic sounds and phrases — probably all of the bounty hunter's lines, since he had only a handful.

And a collection of new Hasbro action figures based on the Empire characters will be released. They'll be new designs but with vintage packaging and photos of the 1980-era toys on the back. Hasbro also is repeating a giveaway from the original Empire release. Fans can mail in proofs of purchase from the action figures to get a free Boba Fett.

That toy will be a vintage design, with one big exception: The original was touted as having a firing rocket on its back, but at the last moment, those ejecting plastic nubs were declared a safety hazard and glued in instead.

"That was a big disappointment at the time. They couldn't do it within the safety standards," Roffman says. "But they have been able to make it work now." The rocket part is a little larger, to avoid the threat of swallowing and choking.

Roffman jokes: "It took 30 years for the dream to be realized."

As with the Super Powers collection, the DC Universe's lamest superhero actually makes for a decent action figure. The orange on this guy had just a tiny bit of shiny finish, which looked pretty neat; also he had those fins coming off the back of his calves, and the fashionable severe blonde flat top.

But that price! Ouch. To be clear, I'm not 100% sure it was on the right peg, and the price-checker couldn't read it. Given the bizarre range of DC figures out right now, I'm hoping there's some large-scale line I've forgotten about and the tag was for that, because that's a serious jump. Not an impossible one, unfortunately.

And here's the back. So it's good news if you never got a Barda (and I don't think I did), but did the fans really pick another Batman variation? That seems hard to believe.

I saw a single-carded Green Lantern that had a different set of five on the back, and the group included a single carded Deadshot. Still, at $8.99, I can't tell if that's good news.
