I so agree with your assessment of this as the dumbest ever. In fact, I grabbed some stills just to illustrate it better. Stupid bobble head fad. Ruined some perfectly good space vehicles.
Yeah, geez, what's with the bobble head thing? Is there really a human being on Earth who cares about bobble heads? The ships would've been a cool toy.
