Martian Manhunter maquette

What a beauty. I included the group shot for scale purposes (the splay-legged guy in the middle is from the lame Total Justice line).

The big one is gorgeous. The only time I ever saw it was on display at Comic Relief (Berkeley's c-book store, which you will hopefully see soon). They had sold all their boxed ones, and a few days later they sold their display model, too. Ebay has the mini-maquette for around 25-30 bucks, but nobody's selling their big ones today. Originally priced at around 100, they auction for a couple c-notes now.

The mini-maquettes were so close in scale to the figs, I've never really pursued them. Although I may, you know, when I'm rich.

He looks cool and all but I've never been into the whole maquette thing - How can put him in a car?

Okay, who have you displayed in a car? Batman and Robin, probably. And...?

I kinda hear you on the maquette thing, though. Personally, I'd rather have an action figure than a fragile statue. But when this maquette came out, there weren't yet Justice League figs, so you can imagine how enticing having a 3D representation of that style would be. Plus, this one in particular is a great statue, and I love the Martian Manhunter. He's my favorite super hero.

The statue thing is a different kind of nerdy than I like, though. I use it sparingly. (Although I could see owning the MM, Padme and that Clone Commander.)
