I was definitely primed to say "meh" here, but a die-cast IG-88? Hmmm. That could be neat.
I was thinking the same thing! Actually, it would be fantastic if they made a lot of the robots die-cast so we wouldn't have to deal with that cheap, soft plastic. Think of the possibilities, R2, 3PO, Death Star Droid, Power Droid, FX-7, to name a few!
Think of 'bots like EV-9D9 whose limbs were never straight. Die-cast could be the answer.
Of course, that means when we leave the room the die-cast figs will bully the plastic ones. "Yeah, whatta you gonna do? I'm made of METAL."
